Bio
I am a PhD candidate in Applied Math & Computational Science (AMCS) at the University of Pennsylvania studying how machine learning can be used in scientific computing to speed up physical simulations and other cool things! Within that space, I often focus on uncertainty quantification (including things like Bayesian optimization and active learning). Before joining UPenn, I received a BS in Math and a MS in Computer Science from the University of Chicago in 2020 (joint degree). I have had the privilege to be born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, a wonderful city where I have lived most of my life.
